## About
Conduit is an integration solution that connects Oracle OPERA Cloud PMS to the Braze Customer Engagement Platform in near real time. Every reservation created, modified or cancelled becomes a live guest profile update and a custom event in Braze within seconds, so hotels can engage guests based on what is happening in the property right now.

Real-time access to OPERA Cloud runs through the Oracle Hospitality Integration Platform (OHIP), whose streaming interface carries authentication, protocol and subscription requirements that generic connectors and low-code tools do not handle. No off-the-shelf connector exists between the two platforms, so the alternative is middleware built from scratch.

That build is what drives costs up. It typically takes 300 to 400 engineering hours to set up, then needs a permanent owner as OHIP, Braze and credentials change. Conduit removes both. The same scope is delivered as a one-time setup in under 100 hours, on CustomerIK's proprietary orchestration framework, which manages the OHIP streaming interface, token lifecycle, event enrichment and first-time guests who do not yet exist in Braze. The framework tracks OPERA Cloud and OHIP releases and is patched centrally, so the hotel carries no upkeep. No additional vendor sits in the chain: CustomerIK owns and supports the framework end to end.

Every event reaches Braze with the context marketers need: arrival and departure dates, nights, room type and rate code, adults and children, confirmation number, property code and booking channel, all mapped to the hotel's existing Braze data model. For Wynn Al Marjan Island, CustomerIK mapped 28 guest and stay attributes and streamed reservation created, modified and cancelled events, validated end to end before opening.

Conduit is engineered so no booking is lost. Every event is written to a durable ledger before processing and cleared only once Braze confirms receipt. Duplicate suppression, automated retry, alerting and a scheduled reconciliation sweep against OPERA turn an outage into a delay rather than a missing confirmation, with the full event history available for audit. In load testing, it sustained more than 30 events per second (beyond peak volume), with every event accounted for.

For marketing teams, Conduit delivers the data and the trigger, then stops. Booking confirmation, pre-arrival upsell, arrival-day messaging, in-stay updates, post-stay feedback and cancellation win-back all run as Braze campaigns and Canvases the team controls. A guest who books typically gets a branded Braze email within 15-30 seconds.

For IT teams, Conduit deploys within the hotel's own cloud tenancy, so credentials, guest data and data residency stay under the hotel's control. Braze EU and US clusters are supported. After go-live, it can be operated by the hotel's team with a runbook handover, or by CustomerIK as a managed service. Because every property runs OPERA differently, Conduit is configured rather than installed.

For hotels, resorts and integrated resorts running Oracle OPERA Cloud alongside Braze, or moving to Braze, Conduit turns every reservation into the start of a conversation. It was built to the standard that hospitality brands have come to expect from the Braze ecosystem.

## FAQ
### What does Conduit do?
Conduit connects Oracle OPERA Cloud PMS to Braze in near real time. Every reservation created, modified or cancelled in OPERA becomes a live guest profile update and a custom event in Braze, typically within seconds, so your journeys run from what is happening in the property now, not from last night's export.

### Which systems does Conduit support?
Oracle OPERA Cloud as the source, via the Oracle Hospitality Integration Platform (OHIP), and Braze as the destination, on both EU and US clusters. If you run OPERA Cloud and Braze, or are moving to Braze, Conduit is built for you.

### What guest data reaches Braze?
Reservation created, modified and cancelled events, each enriched with the context marketers use to personalise: arrival and departure dates, room and rate details, confirmation number, booking channel and guest profile fields. Everything is mapped to your existing Braze data model, and first-time guests who do not yet exist in Braze are handled correctly.

### How fast is "near real time"?
Typically within seconds from the OPERA event to the Braze update. In the Wynn Al Marjan Island validation environment, a booking made in OPERA reached the guest's inbox as a branded confirmation in 15 to 30 seconds, including Braze send time.

### What happens if something fails? Can a booking be missed?
Conduit is engineered so a booking is never silently lost. Every event is recorded to a durable ledger before it is processed and only cleared once Braze confirms receipt. Duplicates are suppressed, failures are retried, a scheduled reconciliation sweep re-checks OPERA every 15 to 30 minutes and re-drives any gap, and an alert goes to a named person. An outage becomes a delay, not a missing confirmation, and the full event history stays available for audit.

### Where does Conduit run, and who can see our guest data?
Conduit is deployed within your own cloud tenancy or infrastructure. Credentials, guest data and the event ledger never leave your environment, and outbound connections go only to Oracle and Braze. CustomerIK does not operate a shared multi-tenant service in the data path.

### Does marketing need to change how it works in Braze?
No. Conduit delivers data and a trigger, then stops. Confirmations, pre-arrival upsell, arrival-day, in-stay, post-stay and cancellation win-back all run as Braze campaigns and Canvases your marketing team fully controls. Adding or changing a journey is a Braze change, never an integration change.

### How long does implementation take?
Typical OPERA Cloud implementation is under 10 days of CustomerIK effort: scope, configure, deploy, hand over. The one dependency to start early is OHIP subscription activation with Oracle, which we help you request during scoping.

### Who operates Conduit after go-live?
Your choice, decided during scoping. Your IT team can operate it with the runbook, dashboards and alerts we hand over, or CustomerIK can run it for you as a managed service.

### How do we get started, and what does it cost?
Contact partners@customerik.com for a 30-minute scoping conversation with your OHIP administrator and your Braze campaign owner. We show the working demo, agree the events that matter to your marketing team, and return a dated deployment plan. Commercials are per engagement and follow scoping.
